Building in the Algarve since 1987
More than a construction company, we are a team with decades of experience and the commitment to deliver every project with rigour, quality and dedication.
A story measured in projects, not years

1987
José Bernardino – Construção Civil was founded in Armação de Pêra and grew by doing what it has always done well: building, renovating and repairing properties in the Algarve with integrity, technical knowledge and respect for those who trust us with their projects.

In the years that followed
Over more than three decades, we have worked on homes, buildings, commercial premises and public works throughout the region. Every project we have completed has shaped who we are today: a company that knows the Algarve, its materials, its conditions and its people.

Today
Behind the name is a team that believes building well is not a starting point, it is a commitment renewed on every project.
José Bernardino, the name and the person
“José Bernardino is the face and the experience behind every project we undertake.”
When a company carries a person's name, that is not just a branding decision. It is also a statement of responsibility.
José Bernardino is the face and the experience behind every project we undertake. A close presence, not just a signature on a proposal.
We believe trust is built when the client knows who they are talking to and feels there is a real person on the other side, committed to the result.
What guides us on every project
Rigour
We do what we promise. We meet deadlines, respect budgets and do not make commitments we cannot honour.
Closeness
The client is never left without an answer. We communicate clearly at every stage of the project, because we believe peace of mind is part of the service.
Quality
We do not measure quality only by the final result. We also measure it by how we get there: the choices we make, the materials we use and the care we put into every detail.
Commitment
When we take on a project, we take on the responsibility of delivering it with the same dedication from the first day to the last.
Where we work
Our headquarters are in Armação de Pêra, in the heart of the Algarve. We develop construction, renovation and repair projects throughout the region, from Lagos to Vila Real de Santo António, including the main towns and inland localities of the Algarve.
Local knowledge is not just a geographic advantage. It is also contextual knowledge: of weather conditions, the most suitable materials, trusted suppliers and the specific construction requirements the Algarve demands.

We are available to talk about your project, with no commitment and no rush.
